Get the AI Art mug.“Art” made by combining stolen images to make an image. The worst usage of Artificial Intelligence, where in an ideal scenario, AI would do things that are menial, repetitive, dangerous, while humans pursue more fulfilling careers like arts, sports, acting etc.
Not to be confused with something that is procedurally generated like a Minecraft world.
An excuse for billion dollar companies to lay off artists and actors (looking at you Activision).
AI bros, the ones defending this, really are just plainly jerks. They use tons of logical fallacies, rely on technicalities (like big companies trying to say “nuh huh” to the law), project themselves onto others and have a persecution complex, remind you, for stealing stuff, when they have (like everyone) the right equipment to do art (pencil, paper, hell even your mouse). It’s only at the detriment of artists. Big companies (the ones owning the AI) or small will use it. Just to cut costs. Apathy is the main issue. It’s easy to do nothing, everyone is guilty of that and it’s time we change that. (Also see “Philistine”)
PS: If you spend that much time on one “piece” why can’t you actually do it yourself?

AI Bro: Hey look at this AI Art I made.
Person B: Why can’t you do it yourself or commission an artist?
AI Bro: Well not everyone has the money for expensive drawing tablets. I just don’t have time.
Person B: You don’t need a drawing tablet to do art and you said this took you 60 hours.
AI Bro: Stop acting like a douche!
Person B: No need to steal from artists.
AI bro: Well technically, artists “copy” from other pieces of arts to do theirs.
Person B: You’re mistaking inspiration for plagiarism. While yes plagiarism has always existed, doesn’t make it any less ok, Generative AI will only make it worse.
AI bro: Well why can’t it just be a hobby?
Person B: Artists don’t have other industries to go to, usually with technological advancements people adapt and use their skills with it. But with AI, people will be laid off. For those where it is a hobby, I doubt they’d like to have their stuff stolen to make a profit, without compensation or consent. Artists, even before AI have constantly been screwed over, don’t blame them for that, blame those who do it.
AI Bro: Well like it or not it’s here to stay!
Person B: You can not do that and learn actual art if you were that into it.
AI Bro: Give me a break we constantly get death threats and you just constantly cope. I hope you loose your job.
Person B: I condemn threats, but that shouldn’t be a reason to dismiss what I’ve said because of some bad apples (nutpicking fallacy).

Get the AI Art mug.(N): artwork created by the unintentional or intentional act of farting on the back of a toilet, a canvas, or a person and then actually sharting. The result resembles splatter art but smells very different. One can impact the appearance of shart art by consuming food coloring or glitter.
I was depressed when i entered the bathroom but really perked up when i saw the shart art Rosie left behind!
