A term that originated in the gym community to refer to one man being more muscular than another. It took a new meaning after looksmaxing internet forums began using it to refer to the general appearance of a man. This could include facial appearance, height, physique. To "mog" another is to be more generally attractive than them. The term became popularized in 2023 after looksmaxing became a large subcategory on TikTok. It is most commonly used on the internet between men comparing each other's appearance, or that of other men (particularly male models). A "brutal mog" is when the men being compared are extremely far apart in appearance. A "fog" is the correct term when comparing the appearance of women.
