Ethical Fumble

The botching of a romantic pursuit, usually purposefully, on ethical grounds, such as to prevent cheating on ones partner, or taking advantage of someone under the influence. It is typically done in secret without the potential romantic partner's knowledge.
Person 1: I nearly got with a baddie last night, but I knew I couldnt betray my Girlfriend like that.

Person 2: That is understandable, its an ethical fumble.
