Kerfufflinks

Links that hold together the sausages present in the trumpet section. Do not ask why these sausages need to be held together.

The kerfufflinks held the two trumpets together so that they could not come apart.

Kerfluffle

The act of holding in a laugh and it escaping through the nose usually making the sound of a motorboat starting or an old Chevrolet car. It's very painful and it isn't an 'on-command' type of thing.
