A shorthand used among academics to refer to the Ivy League universities plus MIT, Stanford, Northwestern, Duke, and the U of Chicago. They are often considered the most elite schools in the United States of America.

It is also sometimes denoted as "Ivy+"

The Ivy Plus schools often hold alumni gatherings in cities across the U.S.
