n. A text sent to a friend whom you are about to visit, alerting them prior to your arrival.

Phil - "Hey guys, we're about to go to Joe's house."
Zeek - "Does Joe know this, or are we just going to show up?"
Phil - "Yeah he knows. I sent him a preemptive text."

Jason - "Wanna' go to Steve's?"
Ralph - "Sure, but let him know or he won't answer the door."
Jason - "One preemptive text, coming up!"

When a group of people, usually three or more, all simultaneously text others not present, instead of conversing with each other.

Look at those losers over there with the spastic thumbs; must be have a text social with their other loser friends.

tommy text

A name given to someone who never stops texting. Usually this person is whipped for a girl or guy and is afraid that by not talking to them for the last 15 seconds their true love will get pissed off and dump them. Person is also usually a huge douche bag!

Can also be used as "tommy text"

"Tommy text Mikel over there never stops texting, even though we are in the middle of a baseball game!"

Immediately after adding someone as a contact in your phone, the short period of time during which you and your contact exchange mass amounts of generic texts that just seem to "flow".

You will likely never speak or text again.

"Yeah, I met this chick last night and we're still on our text honeymoon!"

"Ah. Well at least you tried."

Day texting

Texting that happens during the day. It is naturally not sexual and involves feelings other than sexual arousal. Most day texting conversations include phrases like "how are you today" or "how was work?" With the occasional "let's have lunch." It's normally subsequent hook ups and precedes a relationship.

Tessa: OMG he is totally day texting me!!
Mason: well I guess he wants more than just a hook up.
