puffball

Puffball is a generic non-newbie online user, in a social or bvehavioral context. The word was coined in the early nineties in the Backstage host (moderator) conference (forum) on the WELL, to refer to anyone who was a real handful for a host to deal with or "moderate," including other hosts or oldtimers.

(The term evokes the name of a wild mushroom, the idea of an enlarged ego, and the concept of being ballsy, but it is a pure coinage and not a derivation.
It's semi-affectionate.)

Usage: "If puffball goes off on a rant in the middle of the one-word-sentence game, how do I get him to take that energy someplace where we can respond to it, so the other users aren't all yelling at me to make him conform to the game?"

cream puff

a person who stays inside all day when there is a snowstorm outside because their hypocritical house staff says it's too dangerous to go out in the community yet the staff has to come to work in the slop, even though they have other family members that may not work in the education field that have to go to work in it

My roommates are cream puffs. They think that they have to stay at home all day because of a stupid snowstorm. I tell them to be rebels, but they think it's too dangerous to go out there. I have gone out in snowstorms before I moved into my current house, and I returned home alive.

A word invented by a stupid company to try and sell some shitty pizza. Only losers and company representatives (often a combination of the two) ever think about saying it. The last kid to try and say it in public died 12 hours later from internal bleeding after he was raped by a power drill.

the puffy flap of skin that covers a woman's pelvic bone. It is highly visible on obese women wearing sweatpants or loose fitting bottoms. It has been known to make a woman look as though she has a penis or a small fanny pack in her pants.
