Any time a person talks very passionately and in great detail about a topic, they are yammin'. Chewing with your mouth open is also known as yammin'. In either case, your response to the person doing it should always be to cut them off and tell them to Quit Yammin'!

quit trippin 

What my girlfriend tells me before she asks me if "i'm okay" then seconds after repeats the beginning of the 'going to jail if I don't plot my escape 30min in advance' cycle which kicks off with a question for me to answer about something that her and I both know even the correct answer will not be tolerated.

I thought you quit

A phrase that is spammed to annoy people and devalue their statements, much like "cool story bro", except less overused. It makes fun of everyone who takes the internet seriously, especially the people who quit games in a fit of frustration.

It originated from AbideStory when a GM named Selecao would repeat the phrase constantly to anyone who attempted to talk to him. This resulted in many people rage quitting. They eventually came back, of course, which made it even more funny when he said "I thought you quit".

Person 1: Stop being such a jerk
Person 2: I thought you quit
Person 1: I did... but then I realized I couldn't
Person 2: But I thought you quit
Person 1: I thought YOU quit

In many cases an employee no longer works at a company and it is not known to his/her co-workers if he was actually fired or quit. In reality even if the person quit, it was because they were forced or convinced to quit. This is an easy way to describe why the person is no longer at the company.

Where's Sam, I haven't seen him at work for a while. Oh Sam? You didn't hear, he got quit 2 weeks ago.

Ghost quit 

The practice of an employee ceasing to work at their job without formally resigning so that the employer continues to pay them regardless of their having quit.

Example: By the end of Bill de Blasio’s mayoral term the police officers of New York City had all ghost quit the NYPD. They could only be found clustered in large, useless and ineffective groups, and only in the few remaining safe haven neighborhoods with their heads buried in their phones scrolling through TikTok. Despite the city's precipitous decline into normalized criminal anarchy, New York City tax payers continued to pay the police officers because they had all cleverly ghost quit.
