A computer whiz-kid who knows all the computer tricks and boasts their up to date softwear and programming knowledge.

Note: it does not mean they are smart!!!

Often a term used by those that are feeling lonley i.e have limited friends or those that wish to express Jealousy (especially if it is in a constant way) or those who want to detract from their geek like image.

The kid sitting alone only with a laptop for company mistakenly called the maths genius a geek.

The geek is a curious creature. A subspecies of humans, they are the simpler cousin of the nerd. Where nerds have extensive knowledge of mathematics, science, physics, and other intelligent things, geeks only have extensive knowledge of things like WOW and Starcraft. Geeks are seriously lacking in the physical department, and when confronted, their only self-defense mechanism is turn turn tail and run, screaming for a teacher or other position of authority. They are the absolute bottom of the social food chain.

In the African American urban venacular a geek refers to any and all behavior common among drug abusers. This behavior can be as subtle as buggy eyes that blink rapidly to more overt forms of withdrawal behavior such as selling expensive items for small amounts of money in order to satisfy the craving for more drugs. This term has in the midwest region of the U.S. been largely used to describe crack addict like behavior
