Delta Tau Delta

Delta Tau Delta was founded in 1858 at Bethany College in present day West Virginia Eight men, angered by a fixed vote for a prize in oratory to be given at the Neotrophian Literary Society (a forum for students to practice and demonstrate skills in poetry, public speaking and writing essays), responded by forming a secret society. The purpose of the new society, known only by the Greek letters Delta Tau Delta, was to see the Neotrophian Society returned to popular control.

Delta Tau Delta was born of the knowledge that integrity is essential. The founding principles of Truth, Courage, Faith and Power have provided a guide for both the Fraternity and its membership.

Since 1858 the Fraternity has spread to nearly 200 campuses with over 115 active chapters and colonies comprised of about 6,000 undergraduate members. Just shy of 150 years, Delta Tau Delta has in excess of 154,000 men who have become members of the Fraternity.

Alpha Delta Pi

Alpha Delta Pi (aka ADPi) was the first secret society (sorority) for women and was founded on May 15th, 1851. Their mascot is a lion, their symbol is a diamond, and their flower is a violet. ADPis are very caring women and work very hard to help out their communities and their philanthropy, which is the Ronald McDonald House Charities. These women are classy and don't feel the need to bash other sororities since they were the first. They are usually very outgoing and fun. They know how to have a good time with out getting drunk and looking like a hot mess. Alpha Delta Pi has a great reputation and great sisterhood. ADPi chapters are unique because they are so diverse and don't discriminate againt anybody. They get the best girls during rush and their sisters are not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too. Their motto is "we live for each other."

"What bid did you get?"

"I'm an Alpha Delta Pi! They offered me a bid and I'm accepting it!"

"Awww man I'm super jealous. I wanted to get into Alpha Delta Pi."

Delta Omega Gamma

The Greek letters of the Greatest dorm that was ever created. Notre Dame's finest and classiest men live in this wonderful building that is full of beer, tradition, classy ties, and beer. Every year, Alumni Hall put up their letters (Delta Omega Gamma) twice (for frosh-o and for Wake Week, a classy festival with wine and cheese).

Alumni kid:Hey man, did you chill during Wake Week with the blessed men of Alumni Hall?

Dillon kid: No, I didn't, but it sounds awesome. I saw Delta Omega Gamma up facing south quad. I wish we had Greek letters. Can I come next year?

Alumni kid: Hell no!!
