Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim

Baron Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (June 4, 1867 – January 28, 1951) was the Commander-in-Chief of Finland's Defence Forces, Marshal of Finland, an astute politician and a successful military commander. He was the sixth President of Finland (1944–1946). Mannerheim was born in the Grand Duchy of Finland to a notable Finnish noble family that had migrated during the 17th century to Sweden-Finland from The Netherlands. He started his military career in the Imperial Russian army, becoming the leader of Finnish government forces in the civil war of 1918 and during the Second World War.

mannequin mode

A state that is reached when one has run out of options. Usually takes place in a social situation when you cannot play possum and are forced to talk to somebody you do not want to speak to. Usually makes the victim appear as a "mannequin" in a completely frozen position.

Psycho Chico/a: Why was it when I went in to kiss you, you froze?

Normal Person: It's a defense mechanism, when I can't feign sleep or death I go into mannequin mode.

mannequin land

Mannequin Land is one of the most elite groups on myspace after AP, and is the hardest to get into. Their group tag is ML, and it is not filled with over photoshopped people, who think they're better than everyone else. And also its not filled with "scene" kids.

Mannequin Land is full of individuals who are true to themselves, and have beauty both on the inside and on the outside. And the group is not filled with narcissistic people. Mannequin Land is a group where only the best, the prettiest and the most confident can get into.

There have been some fake groups imitating ML, and there have been low life losers who tag ML into their names without actually getting accepted. However if you think you can get into ML you wouldn't need to script into the group, fake tag ML into your name, and beg others to nominate you, it would be easy.

mannequin challenge

Apparently the latest trend. If you thought 2016 couldn't get any worse, well here you are. It's basically an act of standing still with a group of people while a person films the whole thing. Later on they upload it with music to the Internet. What you're supposed to accomplish with it, I have no idea about that but if the intention is to look like a complete dumbfuck then you're doing it just right.

Guy1: Let's try the mannequin challenge!
Guy2: Everybody already knows you're a dumbfuck.

Manger de la marde

Expression used in Québec, that could be translated in English by '' Eat shit ''. The expression is most of the time used to insult a person or an object.

1. Mike: Le directeur veut que tu passes le voir à son bureau. (The principal wants you to go meet him at his office.)
Joe : Ah, qu'il mange de la marde. (He may just eat a truck loaded of shit.)

2. Elvis Gratton (trying to install a chair on the beach): Qu'a mange d'la marde e***! (Elvis Gratton - La Chaisse)
