Etymology: From Kaapse Dialek/Kaapse Afrikaans originating from in the Cape Flats area of Cape Town, South Africa.

Meaning: To be convicted of a crime and subsequently go to prison. This word can also be used to describe general missteps where a sincere attempt is undermined by a spectacular failure, such as falling over or injuring oneself.

Joe: What happened to Oscar Pistorious?
Tony: He manged after killing his wife.

Joe: My gate is locked, but we can just jump the fence.
