Any length of sleep where the subject fails to adequately “get ready for bed.”

Nurse nap

The act of sleeping whenever time is available due to altered sleep patterns from shift work. The period of sleep immediately following an overnight shift. Generally not a particularly restful sleep.

Mom just got home from work so make sure not to disturb her nurse nap.
