Literally, a short clip of a media file, normally audio like .wav or .mp3 but could also be a video like .mp4 or .mov. It is a short demonstration of music or video that is produced by people and shared as a short sample of work, for feedback, or perhaps even a teaser of what's coming next.

I shared a democlip with my fans and the audience were like, boom, this sounds great. My critics commented on how lame the mid-section was compared with the general rhythm, so that fueled my desire to improve the whole song. That's entertainment!
