(On the phone)

A: I hear you and Jake hit it off! He's standing right here...I just invited him to go dancing with us tonight.

B: I never want to see him again.

A: Well this is awkward.

Jake Gaze

A blank stare often accompanied with dead eyes and an open mouth. The bottom of the teeth are generally exposed. This trait is usually found in people who are socially awkward. The person performing the Jake Gaze cannot hear or see anything while in this state and will often come back into reality with a statement such as "What?" or "Huh?"

I was talking to Dave, but he wasn't listening, he was doing the Jake Gaze, as if there was something on his mind that was more important than our conversation.
