A talk usually given by your parents during the teenage years about sex. It's often extremely embarrasing, uncomfortable, and random. Topics covered are, STD's, responsiblity, and protection.

i think we need to talk

This phrase almost unavoidably consists of "I think we need to break up," "I think we need to see other people," or "I don't think this is working out." Approach with extreme caution whilst using this phrase as your soon-to-be ex girlfriend will probably start bawling at the dinner table before you've even really broken up with her.
