Slang term certainly used in the South-East UK amongst classic car /hot rod enthusiasts and therefore generally only applied to petrol (gas) but not derv (diesel).

A type of sandal that was created from someones impractical fashion sense for footwear that has gone beyond functionality, making it everyone else's problem that the owner can't help but complain their feet hurt. Typically made of organic/natural materials and a Native American design.
