Pre-event Prevention

When there is an event oncoming, and you decide to leave any work you have until after the event has ended. This can be because it feels like you cannot get much done in the time until the event starts, or a subtle means of procrastination.
Louis has a badminton match in 2 hours, and a physics test tomorrow, but because the badminton match is 'only' in two hours, he decides to just start studying once the match has ended. He is practising pre-event prevention of his studies.
