The act of employing all possible means to ensure you are the first one to reach alcoholic drinks. Lush rushers are usually found at parties with open bars.

After a stressful day at work I lush rush to my wine cellar.

He always lush rushes at the club because it helps him relax and enjoy the otherwise terrible music.

When the wedding reception began, the guests lush rushed the bar.

The best example of a lush rusher I know is Meredith from the US version of The Office.
