Hook a brother up 

To go out of one's way to help or provide a service to a friend/colleague/acquaintance. Often in exchange for nothing. Another way of describing a favor or act of altruism.

For example:

'I going KFC, what you having for lunch?' 'Got no money, do you want to Hook a brother up?' 'Okay I will HBU and get a bucket.'

hook to the face 

A term used to describe an embarrassing occurance in the popular WC3 game, DOTA. It happens when the hero Pudge, manages to snag someone with his hook spell, thereby dragging them to imminent doom.

Usually, this is enough to infuriate the most calm of players. In fact, if Pudge misses a hook, many players will insult Pudge for the rest of the game due to the fact that Pudge tried to hook someone in.

Hook Master 

Hook Master = Master of "Hook Wrestling" (or Hook Fighting) aka "Catch Wrestling", usually known today as "Submission Wrestling". In its purest form, Submission Wrestling has NO points, NO rounds and NO time limits. Two grapplers wrestle until one "gives up" or "submits", either voluntarily, or by knock out (eg, passing out from a choke hold).

Hook/Catch/Submission WRESTLING or GRAPPLING uses NO strikes whatsoever, but Hook/Catch/Submission FIGHTING does (puncing, kicking, knees, elbows, headbutts).

Replaces outdated "hooker", which, since the civil war came to mean "prostitute". See HOOKER.

Mr. Goven is a Hook Master. Start a fight with him and you will likely end up unconscious!

Hook and Shoot 

The only way to formally address the boys. Sure, you’ve heard of a dap or even the G-Lock, but until you’ve executed the perfect Hook and Shoot you and said boy are not boys after all. Initiated by a slap of the hands which slides into a G-Lock. After this, the index finger is ‘shot out’ to represent the shoot after the primary hook. The handshake is concluded with a sturdy dap and a snap for good measure. Popularized by ya boy big E.
