1. To confuse or "lose" someone.
2. To trick or fool.

The term refers to drag racing where if someone loses alot of ground on the get-go. The person ahead "gassed" him by pressing the pedal first.

Me- Yo dawg, my grandma got shot.
Someone- Fo real!?
Me-You got gassed!
Someone- OH NOES!
