Flipping the donut is a phrase that was made up specifically for people that constantly uses other people's words as their own. It started as a social experiment for such people to see if they would use it, even if they don't even know what it means or where it came from. It actually means "you're being lame" as people who use other people's trademarks are pretty damn lame.

That guy is buying Pokemon cards. He's totally flipping the donut right now.
