Used to mean that nothing can be done about a particular condition,because it just has to be that way and one just has to live with it.

Kenny,Kevin,Uriah,Harun,Hayden,Harvey,Jason,Jim,Jamie,Matt,Robert,Bill,Tom,and Elliott may only wear ball caps and winter jackets. It's plain they all would rather wear impressive headgear and overcoats, but they can't, and that's the way it is.

A phrase very similar to ‘Don’t hate the player, hate the game.’ Usually used as a witty and self-aware justification of one’s own or someone else’s socially questionable actions, especially sexual encounters. Might also be said as ‘The game’s A game.”

A: You told our pilots to crash thier planes into ships, what's the big idea?

B: We lose a few cheap aeroplanes and a couple of pilots, the enemy loses an expensive ship and thousands of lives.
