benchmarks

In basic computer lingo it means identifying/measuring your various computer components power. Graphics cards are a popular example of a piece of hardware often benchmarked. You can enhance you computers score and performance also by overclocking your system. Or getting a friend who's a techie to overclock it for you.

I benchmarked my new ATI Radeon 9800 XT and it's score was awe inspiring. I then realized I'd overclocked it way too high and damaged my new $300 piece of hardware.

bench hog

Someone hogging the bench unnecessarily that you intended to sit on. Paticularly if you were gonna snog on it.

"Jade, lift your fat arse and stop being a bench hog!" Yelled Becky in eager anticipation to sit down and make out with her boyfriend.
"No chance. You'll be hogging the bench then, while I play goose!" Jade replied good-naturedly.

Bench Knocking

Bench Knocking:noun; The mechanical skill of tapping, hitting or smacking some mechanical or electrical device into working properly.

It is well known amongst the mechanically inclined as a skill and is much more than luck....although it adds to one's cool.

To Bench Knock: To use the skill of Bench Knocking.

Henry Winkler ... Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli and the means by which he produced working equipement is a perfect example of "Bench Knocking"

To hit something with ones hand or foot and then it operates when before it was unfunctioning is bench knocking.

"I bench knocked that soda machine and it game me my soda that I paid for!", said the exhausted and frustrated teen.

bench legs

Bench legs are the equivalent of shapeless, unattractive calves on a woman. Also, it denotes almost no leg definition between knee and ankle. This phrase was the early forerunner to "cankles" used more commonly in the 1980's and 1990's. For instance, Hillary Clinton has bench legs.

That gal walking toward us has ugly and unshapely bench legs!
