Very often mistaken for parakeets, and are sold at pet stores under that label...They are really playful, loving, and trustworthy. With the right training from day one, you can have a budgie as obediant as a dog. They make LOTS of noise, like to chew on shoes/random objects and the corners of the walls, and love their own reflections. Over all, they require lots of care, but it's all worth it in the end.
