Husband: "Honey, I bought you an Ipod for Christmas!"
Wife: "An Ipod!" "You Goddamn prick, I want a divorce."

A small music/video playing device that is useful in everyday life. Although there are cheaper and better MP3 players out there, iPods are not really that bad. The latest generation isn't extremely overpriced and it is pretty cool.
The main flaw is its accessory prices, but it's tough point is the accessory range. There are thousands of accessories for the iPod.
Buying an iPod makes some teens and little kids think that they will be with the "cool kids" after buying ones. This is DEFINETLY not true. It's just a music player with style.
The reason Apple has sold so many iPods is because of its advertising and the looks.

Bob: I bought an iPod! YAY!!!
Cool Kid: Cool. *turns around and goes back to talking with his friends*
Bob: *Waiting for a request to join the cool kids*
Bob: I got an iPod and I love it.
Joe: I have one too, but I would have gotten a Creative Zen if I had thought about it earlier. But I still like my iPod. =)

Definition 1 (proper noun): Apple's Crappy Popular and EXTREMELY Overpriced MP3 Player, that is very easy to break and costs at LEAST 3 times as much as something just as good. Also, it requires the equally crappy and restrictive iTunes player.
Definition 2 (noun): What stupid people call any MP3 Player

The name iPod refers to a class of portable digital audio players designed and marketed by Apple Computer. (Hewlett-Packard also markets the product under the name Apple iPod + HP.) iPod offers a simple user interface designed around a central scroll wheel. Most iPod models store media on a built-in hard drive, while a lower-end model, iPod shuffle, relies on flash memory. Like most digital audio players, iPod can serve as an external hard drive while connected to a computer
