While some would describe Peeta's puppy-like love (to the point of obsession) for Katniss to be 'sweet' or 'cute' it is actually quite irritating and almost creepy. This is exemplified by the fact that he has apparently been in love with her since they were five, even though they had never spoken prior to the Games.

Get the Mellan Chollie and the Infinite Sadness mug.Peeta Mellark is a fictional character from the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Many fans think he is hot, sexy, brave, etc. (Think Edward Cullen here) He wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Katniss. But it does go the other way because he gave her some bread when her family was dying but he also kinda forced her into loving him when he basically announced that he was in love with her. And of course she was forced to love him back. So yeah... he's kinda an idiot with little self defense that only won the Hunger Games cuz Katniss saved his butt. Gale is better but not much.
