A short period of rest where body lowers brain function and oxygen intake while not fully asleep in order to pass time.

hyberdater

Formulated from the term 'hybernate', hyberdating is when an individual gets a new boyfriend or girlfriend and completely vanishes off the face of the earth, never to be seen again unless the relationship fails. Hyberdaters cut themselves off from their friends, only spending time with their significant other, and if there's ever a CRAZY chance that they ARE with their friends, they spend the entire time talking about their sigificant other and nothing else.

"We hung out with John last night for the first time in like, 8 months, and he wouldn't shut up about Lisa THE WHOLE NIGHT." "God, he's such a hyberdater."

Hibedernate

to sleep copiously; often during the winter time, or while incredibly ill. May be following the ingestion of excess amounts of food. Usually involving a bed, though it isn't required. Not to be confused with Hibenerdate.

"What did you do over winter break Mark?"

"I was exhausted from exams, so I ate thirty tacos then hibedernated."

"I was wondering why you missed a month of school."

Hibernaking

It's like hibernating naked.

Ie, when sleeping naked in winter and not leaving the nice warm bed for anything, even the urge to pee, because the cold is too scary.

Sorry bladder. Can't get up, I'm hibernaking.

Hibermating (verb) (i.e. cuffing) Being involved in a relationship, usually lasting between one to three months during the Winter -when the nights are the longest, and the bed sheets are the coldest.

Hibermating can usually be recognized by...

- the copious amounts of takeout

containers that it leaves in its wake...

- blurry eyes as a result from Netflix

binging ...

- a per capita uptick in spooning

behavior that is located within a

specific geography area such as the

Northern Hemisphere, the Eastern

Seaboard, or the third floor of City

Liquidators, to name a few.

We spent January and February happily hibermating and never left the house.
