Rather, he suggests that environmentally aligned politics comes from a lacking sensibility and understanding of the ecology. In this sense, ecoanarchism, although rooted in deep history, has a firm grasp on the future. The hunter-gatherer societies it harkens back to can be regarded as truly free from a state while living in ecological means which is essentially the ultimate goal of green anarchists.
