“Calm down, man; take a chill pill.” Said Josh; his smooth voice, carrying through the open doorway. “It’ll be okay; I’ll help you search. You haven’t, effectively, “lost” your keys, anyway; you’ve just safed them.”

Safety Car

A vehicle which is employed in many motorsports, but notably in F1. It is deployed onto the track whenever an incident happens, and while it's on the track, no driver is allowed to overtake and must follow the pace.

Claiming or implying that your message is a joke, ironic or sarcastic when it in reality is conveying your actual intent. Safetynetting is usually used when you're afraid of being judged or criticised for your message, because it is perceived as stupid.
