Feed the Swallow

A phrase used to answer or address anything. Swallow meaning the species of bird. The term makes no sense whatsoever, but it does have its uses. Best used when people don't know what to say or as a way to trash talk someone.

Person 1: "Dude, don't be an asshole."

Person 2: "Feed the swallow."

or

Person 1: "On a scale of 1 to 10, how do you feel?"

Person 2: "Feed the swallow."

The command used by a third party member of a two person conversation which is directed towards one of the conversationalists in the case that the conversation has reached a point where there is nothing to say. This lets said conversationalist know that it is time to say, "jimfeed" and walk away.

Albert: What's up?

Shiva: Nothing much.

Albert: Wanna hear a funny joke?

Shiva: No.

Masturbation. A chocobo is a bird-like creature in the Final Fantasy series of video games. Several of these games allow the player to breed different varieties of chocobo. In the online-only Final Fantasy XI the player has to log on and feed his chocobo, or the chocobo will die. How the term became associated with masturbation is unknown.
