When a potato chip breaks off when being dipped in the chip dip, leaving the broken chip to sink to the bottom of the dip. Like a "ship wreck" but with a chip instead.
Man, whose chip wreck is that the dip?" or "Man, I just had a chip wreck!" or "Watch out for the chip wrecks!

When you take too much of a dip and you use another chip to make the overload of dip not as overwhelming.

The tastiest, cheesiest, most topping-laden nacho in the pile eaten first by the jerk who did not take the time to make said nachos. Usually more than one chip make up the "Dock Chip" and is held together by most of the cheese on the plate.
Ben: "Wow, look at this jawsome plate of nachos I've pain-stakingly taken the time to make for myself and my buddies!"
Tony: "MMMM, they look great, I'll have this one/all of them!"
Ben: "Of course you will, because you're the jerk who always takes the 'Dock Chip'!"

A humorous euphamism to refer to the unlikelyhood of highly portable chips. Road chips are a rare occurance due to the low portability factor of these crispy delicious snacks.I.e. "Sorry guys, I can't meet up, I just opened these chips."
"We're gonna get a move on, we better get some road chips."
"These road chips are perfect for our road trip."
