gay goth punk rock 

The guy made the definition obviously hasn't heard a full song from Korn or SOAD, much less tried to learn or interpet their lyrics. Probably saw their music videos once on MTV, and changed the channel after 5 seconds because they looked different. Most likely a trendy-ass music prep that listens to nothing but pop and (c)rap shit played on TRL and doesn't know the difference between a punk and a goth. I'm not crazy about Slipknot and haven't heard of saliva, but anyone that calls Korn or SOAD gay are trying too soft to handle their music or too dumb to appreciate their artistry(especially that of SOAD).

mkay. usually, candygoths are girls. may or may not wear black/dress in a gothic manner, but it is more than likely that they are very hyper, perky, and happy most of the time. they listen to what is labeled as gothic music, but they may also listen to a variety of other things. more than likely, classic rock, ska, punk, heavy metal, new age metal, or anything of the sort.

someone whom you may know that likes cradle of filth and the beatles but doesn't wear black/dresses in a gothic manner and acts happy but is sadistic at the same time is a candygoth.

emo-goth 

A contradiction of terms as emos will piss moan and cry about their plush lifestyles only to cut and cry to themselves over and over again for not getting what they want or even because they simply feel like it While goths simply do not care about their lives as they hate everything and simply cut for the sheer release and thrill it brings but will not cry to themselves in the corner.

Emos envy the goths for their lack of crying and thus try to imitate their sub culture by wearing similar fashions, but are easily spotted as they will often be seen crying to themselves over every pathetic little thing especially if it affects their selfish and overly comfortable lives and will put on massive drama shows that effectively annoy all around them until they gt what they want.

Goths usually wear dark clothes and make-up with practiced fervor and are also clearly distinguishable as they will glare at you and refuse to shed tears over anything while living a more minimalistic and death-centric lifestyle, after all you can't take possessions with you when you die and will usually keep to themselves as they have no desire to interact with others.

Due to the contradictions between the two as far as outlooks and reactions emo-goths do not exist

Impossible to define an emo-goth as both are polar opposites that the only similarity is in how they dress, Simply put if both were a magnet Emo would be south and Goth would be North

Glam Goth 

A glam goth is a person who combines current goth styles with high street fashion. They switch baggy bondage trousers for high waisted leather shorts, and rupped tops for black sequined tops. They may still wear goth boots, or simply high heels. There dominant colour is still black, but they add a little sparkle to it.
People like-Dita Von teese may come under glam goth
But glam goth mainly covers people such as the motley crue.

Cyber goth 

People that go to underground cyber/industrial/Goth/EBM clubs. They look like a mix between punk, goth and raver. They usually wear bright colored dreads extensions or unnatural bright colored hair with shaven sides but not always, and with bright colored neon/UV-light clothes and futuristic gear (android/cyborg stuff), avatar goggles worn on forehead, UV-light biohazard mask, big platform boots, and they often wear (bright colored) make-up. Almost everything is unisex.
Obviously music is a big part of their life and they like to dance, some of them are DJ's or producers or they often have other creative talents.
It's a subculture, called ''cyber scene''.

'Cyber: Oh gawd, look at him! Look at his color combination., and he's fat and ugly.. what a FAIL hahaha!!!

Cyber 2: Yeahh I know.... let's ignore him *rolls eyes*.

Cyber: By the way, I really need some XTC, can I buy some?

Cyber 2: Sure! follow me, sexy cyber goth.
