Do Me a Google

Coined by Danielle Dunne in the Spring of 2010, "Do Me a Google" is a text message in which you ask someone who has internet access to look up something on Google. The term was invented in order to shorten the amount of characters needed to ask such a question.

Google Chrome

A really fast and cool browser that beats Firefox on my 8 year old laptop. My most favourite feature is that I could type in the name of a site in the address bar (a site that I've never visited) and a list would pop down with the site's URL in there. Also the UI takes up very little space.

Google-itis

An individual who cannot help but use Google searches to come up with all the answers to every unanswered question. They also use Google to validate any statement they make. They act as a know-it-all with the support of Google. These individuals automatically supply answers when any question arises. Thinking they are being helpful, they email or text you the answers until you simply want to die.

Liz has a bad case of Google-itis. When lightning struck the plane, Liz could hardly wait to land so she could Google the frequency of lightning strikes on passenger aircraft.

googlewhack

If you type a search term into a search engine and only get one result, that result is a googlewhack. Presumably, a true googlewhack is one found on Google.com
No googlewhack lasts for long, as the Internet is always expanding and sometimes when people hear of a googlewhack, thy make a new website containing the search term and spoil it for everyone.

Dr. Google

When you're too poor to see a real doctor or don't fully trust your doctor, and conduct a web search to diagnose medical symptoms and their possible cures.

I don't need to go see a doctor. I've already consulted Dr. Google and it turns out I have Peyronie's Disease. Got to get me some Vitamin E!

googly

Cricket terminology: for when a spin bowler bowls a ball out of the back of his hand which spins the opposite way to the way it normally spins. (Maybe spelt googlie but pronounced the same.)

Shane Warne is a master of the googly and it gets him many wickets.
