Wambop

Music genre invented by the musician Edmund Wilson with reference to an upcoming musical revolution to take place in the 2020's. No definite traits comprising the Wambop sound are given, however Edmund attests that the sound is akin to Jazz in the 1920’s or Rock in its level of broad impact. Wilson alludes to artists such as Kanye West, Billie Eilish, and Bon Iver influencing the formative genre.

Brop may be its abbreviation, under the broader, more open-ended umbrella of music that is WAMBOP.

Plebeian: oh how I tire of the played out aspects of modern music, and yearn for some fresh and new sonic-syrup to pour upon the proverbial pancakes that are my unenriched ears!

Edmund: Avast! For it is I Edmund J Wilson. The new superstardom will be neither ‘mainstream’ nor ‘alternative’. The new pop star will be neither peripheral nor central in their music tastes, but something like ‘off-centre’. This my friends, is the ushering in of the new era of WAMBOP.
