F.D. Roosevelt HS is frequently referred to as FDR and is in Historic Hyde Park, NY, home of President, F.D. Roosevelt, the FDR Presidential Library & Eleanor Roosevelt National Site. The FDR HS grad. rate is well above the NY average. The HPCSD community has supported renovations to FDR’s auditorium, & athletic facilities with a track, turf field, seating, & press box. FDR offers engineering & computer based Project Lead the Way, AVID, 19 AP Courses, dual enrollment courses in Dutchess Community, & Marist Colleges, SUNY Albany & Career & Tech. Recent grads have been admitted to the US Naval Academy, Ivy & other Colleges and Universities, institutes & the Armed Forces.

FDR students receive recognition as National Merit Scholars & National Hispanic Merit Scholars, distinction in rich programs in Arts & Music, received All State, & All Area recognition, & in athletics with State Champs in Gymnastics & Skiing & MHAL & Section Champs.
