when, during a session of dungeons and dragons with your friends, a critical hit is rolled. Best used to describe when said critical hits are instrumental and pivotal to the combat taking place, or when several critical hits are rolled.

Morrowind, not only managed to stay up the whole fight, unlike a certain wizard, but also ripped a crit.

pointless crit

In games, a critical hit that occurs redundantly and in which a normal hit would have been just as effective.
These are often annoying or frustrating in a game where critical hits are rare and/or generally out of the player's control/influence.

Yeah, I was battling a trainer in Pokemon and I got a pointless crit when their Pokemon's HP was pretty low. I could've used it at any other point but RNGesus chose now of all times.

Ear Crit

An uncomfortably high decibel noise (most of the time a persons voice) on popular voice chat programs such as Teamspeak or Ventrilo. This is often the result of a poor microphone or the inbound/gain volume being too high.
