Oblong User

Also known as a "Gay" "Queer" "Homosexual" and many other terms. It referes to homosexual men who feel the need to use limp wrist gestures to express themselves.

The term Oblong User originates from the use of a computer system called "Oblong". Oblong Users, are required to wear gloves which control the computer system with gestures. Making the user appear very limp wristed and effeminate.

Look at that Oblong User over there!

Power User

1. People who know the advanced features of a computer operating system.
2. What business people who don't actually know anything about computers call themselves when all they can do is make spreadsheets in Excel. :

Ex:

1. I just installed a new GUI to Debian! Now to overlock my processor so I can get shit done!

2. The following is a real story from my old job:
Lady: *Calls Me(IT Guy)*
Me: Hello?
Lady: Yes, is this IT I'm speaking with?
Me: Yes.
Lady: I'm normally a "Power User" but lately, Windows has been SO slow! I would like it if you could help me.
Me: Ok, would you like me to come over to your office?
Lady: No, it's fine.
Me: Well, could you answer these questions?
Lady: Yes. Why is it so slow?
Me: Have you updated Windows?
Lady: No.
Me: Do you have Windows 7?
Lady: Why do you want me to downgrade? I already have Windows 95!
Me: Have you downloaded any viruses?
Lady: No, my doctor said I'm fine.
Me: Umm...Well, have you clicked on any suspicious E-Mails?
Lady: Yes! I'm still waiting for my new iPhone!
Me: *Facepalm*

A term used to describe in the singular one of the censors at dailykos. Reminiscent of the witch-hunting mob in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

The User CP allows each user to customize their preferences, change their avatar, read messages, subscribe to threads, view their bans and infractions, join usergroups, and so on

Since I went on holiday, my User CP is full of unread messages

Someone whose fighting spirit obtained a physical form, after being pierced by the stand arrow, hence the name stand user

Mac User

Someone who doesn't know anything about computers but still wants to feel superior.

PC User: I just got a new computer today. It's pretty awesome
Mac User: Well I just bought a Mac. It's eco-friendly.
PC User: Really? How fast is your Mac.
Mac User: Well it's a Mac, so... you know...
PC User: No I don't actually, please explain.
Mac User: Well, um... the processor... fast... RAM... gigabyte... Mac... *head explodes*
