I am going to discuss the second definition; it's origins was a classmate in Glenbard East in 1994 prior to graduating as it was in Judo she made the crack. Hence the term in DuPage County known as UCLA -- aka University Closest to Lombard Area.

Not a university, but a public junior college almost 40 miles from the #1 public university in the Los Angeles community of Westwood, CA (2021 US News & World Report).

Acronym has been floating around for 20+ years.

Person 1: Hey, I’m a graduate of UCLA.

Person 2: I thought you went to Cypress College and graduated with a mortuary science AA.

Person 1: We’re both right. University of Cypress on Lincoln Avenue!
