Sanathan is an indian name. Also called Shana or Shanan, he will be one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet. He might get little crazy and touchy when he gets drunk, but it's ok, 'cause its Shana. Also, he has the biggest knowledge about stupid stuff but it makes him happy to talk about it. So that's ok, too.

samathi

A state of extreme mental equanimity, the highest form of which is enlightenment. Two concepts closely associated with samathi is dharana and dhyana. Simply put, samathi is the result of 1728 (12^3) seconds of absolute single-pointed focus upon an object of concentration. Based on the Yoga Sutras, if one could exhibit absolute single-pointedness for 12 seconds, they would have achieved dharana (concentration). Twelve dharanas (12^2) equals one dhyana (meditation), which is 2 minutes and 28 seconds of absolute single-pointed focus. Twelve dhyanas (or 12 X 12 X 12 seconds of absolute single-pointed focus) equals 1728 seconds, or 28 minutes and 48 seconds. This is the amount of time required to attain samathi. Again 1728 seconds, or 28 minutes and 48 seconds of pure and absolute single-pointed focus on an object of concentration opens the door way for samathi, the highest state of which is enlightenment.

Leo Guru from Actualized.org doesn't know shit about samathi. He gave up meditation after a year, tried DMT, claimed he was God and thought he was enlightened. People like him don't want to put in the work to attain samathi.
