Often times a feller is given the name Richard. Often times people call the dude named Richard some other name. That other name is Dick. Following this logic, Richard becomes Dick which becomes Penis. This is why parents no longer name their kid Richard. The parents don't want the mean kids at school calling their child penis. For instance, when a kid wants to invite poor little Richard to a birthday party, he says hey penis ya wanna come to my party celebrating my birth.
