protestantism

Protestantism stemmed from the Reformation. Protestantism at its most basic is the belief in justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the supremecy of the bible. There are countless protestant denominations and none of them can agree on anything beyond that. Some Baptists dislike being labeled Protestants and insist that they are christians while some Anglicans define themselves as Anglo-Catholics. Most Protestants are very decent people and are interested in serving God in the best way possible. Unfortunatly, protestantism has been tainted throughout the years by racism, elitism, anti-semetism, and worst of all, violent anti-catholicism.

Protestatism and Catholicism should get along since they are both worshipping the same God.

One who voices his or her opinion over issues they feel strongly about or disagree with.

Thomas Jefferson once said, "Dissent is the pinnacle of patriotism." To be completely honest, I hold higher regard for Thomas Jefferson than for Dubya and people on Urban Dictionary who claim that protest equals "taking advantage of freedom" and degradation of America.

Liberal A.K.A Antiwar Protester: Dude, why is marijuana illegal? What's wrong with gay marriage? Wasn't wiretapping without a court warrant explicitly prohibited in the Federal International Surveillance Act from the days of the Nixon administration? That's fucked up! Let's go protest and try to change what we disagree with, rather than accepting it like timid sheep!

Liberal A.K.A Antiwar protester

Someone who recognizes that the current Neo-Conservative trend of the use of force for political and economic gain denigrates the sacrifices made by those who died in legitimate conflicts where the freedoms of the US were actually threatened by an outside entity. Many so called 'Liberals A.K.A Antiwar protesters' are former soldiers who have seen the evils perpetrated by the use of the military and the devastation delivered upon innocent populations by the destruciton of their infrastructures in campaigns of 'shock and awe'ordered by draft dodging pieces of crap sitting in comfortable offices in Washington.

People who are considered by the ignorant 51% of Americans who voted for Bush to be 'Liberals A.K.A Antiwar protesters' are an invaluable voice of equality, tolerance, and peace in an overly bellicose society of obese morons who have lost sight of what America should be and bought into the mindless rhetoric of George W. Bush.

I am a Liberal A.K.A Antiwar protester because I understand the issues and am enraged at the license the American people have given to the Military Industrial Complex to wage wars at will.

1) someone who expresses dissent about a war, or the way the war is being fought, or the false pretenses used to justify the war, or anything about that war they dont like or are against.
in the case of Iraq, this would include people all over the world who did not like Saddam Hussein, but disagree with the principle of preemptive war. establishing the principle of preemptive war abandons international law- meaning any country can invade and attack any other country they claim is a 'gathering threat' -not even an 'imminent threat' according to their intelligence agencies.
preemptive war is the same logic that terrorists the world over use to justify their actions.

Damn, that antiwar protester has some cajones to be out there in the street demonstrating when theres all those cops in riot gear with tear gas grenades, guns and batons.

Either

a. A peaceful, well-meaning, usually liberal protestor who does not like the idea of war and fears for the lives of children and the lives of our soldiers

or

b. An ultra-liberal, ultra-asshole who goes out and yells "Fuck Bush" or some other brain-surgery terms at the top of their lungs, before trying to beat up a police officer.

I've seen more of the b-types but i'm holding out hope that the a-types exist... somewhere...
