matching sweat

A way to proudly say you are working hard and putting forth great effort. Literal or metaphorical sweat is equivalent to (matching) the difficulty of a task and the work being done. Also used when you are trying as hard as another person while competing, working together, or comparing. You are trying to match their sweat/effort.
She worked up on that ladder for hours. Girl was matching sweat.
