The Conservative party

Scum, just utter scum. Will give tax breaks to the rich and actively corrupt the normal workings of the country whilst also pretending to care about the poor and sick.

big government social conservative

A conservative who backs the enactment of invasive, usually expensive laws which allow for the government to regulate or micromanage the behavior, relationships or identity of private citizens, or to prohibit government recognition of certain of these traits, based upon the need to "preserve" said individual's idealized "natural" or "godly" order for society (or to create social programs - usually of the "feel good" type - pursuant to such ideals of a "Moral Majority").

Usually a conservative who uses a religious case or justification for why the government must pass legislation (or engage in international conflicts, such as the "War on Drugs") in order to play "moral police" with the citizenry or world.

Such conservatives' self-described credentials as "conservative" are often questioned or sometimes rejected by fiscal conservatives and right-libertarians (including the Grover Norquist anti-tax types) because of such programs take up fiscal resources for potentially never-ending or unwinnable wars. Of course, when culture wars are being fought both in the US and abroad by non-government entities (such as churches), the fiscal conservatives and libertarians are often quiet and compliant for as long as *government* money is not being directed to such wars; the richer of the BGSCs (e.g., Pat Robertson) have free license to carry out such wars.
"The social conservative leaders who advocate using government to achieve their aims always push the GOP to embrace big government whenever the GOP takes power. Here's how it works:

1. Republicans gain control based on promises of limited government.

2. We get a few years of somewhat limited government, especially if the president is a Democrat.

3. We then watch the biggest statists in America -- big government social conservatives -- demand that the federal government "do something" about every perceived social ill in America.

4. We then watch the GOP respond to social con threats by becoming 100% statist. Every time the GOP gains ascendancy, it eventually decides it ought to use the power of the federal government to force "conservative" (in quotes because big government is never conservative) goals. It assumes that other conservatives will just toe the line (like the OP suggests).

5. Voters then kick the GOP out of power.

6. We then watch the GOP at least pretend to believe in small government (many in the coalition will simply wish to limit power of Dems, thus forming an accidental coalition).

7. Repeat"

Conservative

A Political phrase that has been thrown around so much that it has lost its meaning and has many people who pretend to be it(Just as with the word Liberal).

Conservatives generally believe in less government and a government that only steps in when necessary.

On Economic Issues, Conservatives generally believe in low taxes, a flat income tax(seeing that it is the only equal and constitutional way to conduct a tax) and financial independence. They believe that a person's money belongs to the person, not the government. They believe in less government spending and fewer government programs. They are against welfare(both Corporate and Private) and intervention in the economy. These beliefs are generally known as "Fiscal Conservatism".

On Social Issues, Conservatives believe in interfering only when someone's constitutional rights are at risk. This is why many Conservatives are Pro-Life(they see abortion as an attack on a human being's constitutional right to live). Conservatives are against "Big Brother" telling you how to live your life.

Many Conservatives believe in an idea known as "Peace Through Strength." An idea that revolves around military strength and the power of intimidation to avoid war.

Conservatives are usually identified with the Republican Party, although in recent years, the Party has broken into a civil war between Conservatives and Neo-Conservatives(Not to be confused with Conservatives). And, recently, Neo-Conservatives have began to use the term "conservative" to refer to their own beliefs. However, some prominent Conservatives, such as John McCain, Ron Paul, and Fred Thompson, have risen and popularity as well as the ideas behind True Conservatism.

The Conservative Party

Right wing, outdated, pathetic, racist (yes very much so fucking racist). An ode to Britains imperialistic, tyrannous past, who's supporters range from the very old, senile members of public, who still believe the Royal Family to be of importance, and also that queen does infact know of them and their life stories.... to the unintelligent, right-wing, moronic, privilledged youth of today who still believe that "the empire still exists, and is cool", who's private school-paying parents fund their privilledged lifestyles and anal buggery, and, who all in all, are soley responsible for stirring up hatred against illegal immigrants, trouble in northern Ireland and a barrier to a united Ireland, alienation from europe and the entire class system across the British Isles. Basicly, the Conservative party is the root of all of Britain's problems. I'm British, but sometimes, I am very very much ashamed. If you vote for the Conservative party, I fucking hate you.
The Conservative party believes in having an elite, which basicly means you have to be either a) Rich, or b) a cunt who's willing to sell his soul in order to be rich, in order to be in the 'elite'. The whole notion of conservatism sickens me. It is fundamentaly against the evolution of human society.

conservapedia

A wiki, very similar to wikipedia on everything. However..i have noticed many hypocrisies and hmm, well crackpot theories.

The hypocrisy which pisses me off most is that in the "Examples of Bias in wikipedia" article http://www.conservapedia.com/Examples_of_Bias_in_Wikipedia)

number 22. (out of 133 ffs)reads:

"Wikipedia has an extensive entry on "Creation myth".40 Describing Creationism as a "myth" is yet another attempt to disparage Christians, and although the theory of evolution satisfies Wikipedia's definition of "myth", Wikipedia never describes it as a "myth". "

Fair enough, slightly mental, but he has a point...yes?
However...looking at the article on the conservapedia article "Dreamtime", an australlian aboriginal creation story; IT is described as a myth.

So Christian creationism is NOT a myth but any other creationism is?? hmmm...

also on the article about kangaroos (boing boing) there is a large 3 paragraph section on the Young Earth Creationist theory and only 1/2 a sentence on the evolutionary theory

so the YEC theory which is probably less supported than evolution recieves more coverage than a well established and most probably correct theory.
Conservapedia on Wikipedia: "Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia founded by entrepreneur and atheist Jimmy Wales..."

umm yehh..why mention atheism?
