Rotsa Ruck

"Lots of Luck", as pronounced (usually sarcastically) by the dog Astro on the ABC cartoon series "The Jetsons" in 1962 and 1963. Astro - being a dog - pronounces most words with an intial "R" sound, as if he is growling.

"I'll appeal to the congressman's sense of honor!"

"Rotsa ruck."

Besides an un-PC imitation of an Asian's speech accent, rotsa ruck is a backhanded rejoinder: It is a way of sarcastically saying: "You'll never be successful at doing that." OR "That's a near-impossible task."

Probably originated on American college campuses of the 1960's.

Man #1: I'm studying political science and world religions, so I can finally bring peace between the Jews and Muslims on the Gaza Strip.

Man #2: Rotsa ruck on THAT one.

OR:

Woman: I'm meeting with the Texas PTA tonight to convince teachers to discuss GLBT issues with their sixth-graders.

Man: Hey, rotsa ruck on that.

Rosaly

A "rosaly" is a beutiful girl yet she thinks shes not. She is short bit tough. She knows how to defend herself and her friends. She's an amazing person but can sometimes mess things up. She's broken but manages to make sure her friends are happy. She puts her friends first and doesn't care about herself. She's wild loud and a whole lotta fun. People look at that girl and think she's shy and quiet but once you get close she's crazy asf. Shes not fake and when she says she loves you she means it. She is the greatest friend you can have so if you ever become friends don't be dumb and keep her in your life cuz that girl makes your life way more fun😊💕

Rosalyn

An amazing girl that you are lucky to have. If you talk to her a lot then she probably cares about you a lot. Even if you’re mad at her she will still care about you. She is very loving and is the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. If you ever meet a Rosalyn become her friend cause as soon as you see her you will fall in love. She is kind and gentle. Once she loves something or someone she will never stop because she loves with all her heart. She is strong and brave. She is also very sensitive. If you don’t see her crying there is a problem. She has an amazing fashion sense and is gorgeous enough to become a model. Her laugh may be weird to her but other think that it’s cute. She can be mature but usually acts like she is 4. If only she could see the beauty in her soul. She also isn’t very confident and is easily embarrassed. But she can be very quirky and weird. If you break her heart she’ll be ok but if you ever do you should know that she will never trust you again but she still cares about you and loves you. She may not have many friends but that’s because the more friends you have the more people can just walk out of your life or hurt you. And she probably knows that pain very well. She is very nice because she doesn’t want people to feel the pain she feels everyday. She is hilarious and laughs at her own jokes but that’s ok. She puts others first and is a just amazing. So if you ever meet a Rosalyn keep her she is perfect.

I should’ve never let go of Rosalyn.
