Wikkan

A Wikkan, is a person who practices a neo-pagan nature based religion. Contextually there is no difference in a Wikkan verses a Wiccan, except that in spelling. Wica, as it was spelled (perhaps mis-spelled) by Gerald Gardner is a modern reconstruction of ancient traditions and acient faith practices, although fairly modern in its new form. The various spellings differ based on location, liguistic translations, culture and tradtion. It is more common in Western societies to adapt to the anglo-saxon spelling "Wiccan", wheras other more European socieites adopt "Wikkan." There is often debate about the origin of the precursors "wic" verses "wik", both of which have had various meanings in differet societial constructs, such as "to bend and to twist", from which we get "wicker" and "wicked" and "wise one" such as derived from the term "vicor" and the precursor "vic." Also, it is possible that the Hwice tribe has had influenced the linguistic term known as either Wicca or Wikka today. Both are correct, depending upon locality, tradition, and culture. Also there are other varient spellings of this faith, worldwide.

wiksand

What you've stumbled into when you go to look something up quickly in Wikipedia only to emerge 3 hours later having followed hundreds of links into myriad topics about which you never thought you would care. Like quicksand, its grip is unrelenting and the more one tries to extricate oneself, the more browser tabs one opens to continue down alternate paths. Usually starts out as a momentary tangent to try to dredge up memories of an old technology or company or natural disaster and quickly turns into an all-day waste of time. Not that learning is a waste of time, but you should really get back to work already. And close some of those tabs.

I only wanted to quickly look up this Senator, but I got stuck in wiksand and now I know all of the African countries by heart and the chemical make-up of capsaicin.

WikiAnxiety

WikiAnxiety is a term used to describe anxiety related to editing wikis on the Fandom platform. It was coined by Fandom user Tamirobson who first made use of it on her blogpost titled: "WikiAnxiety (made up term for anxiety related to editing wikis)" on Community Central. The term could also be applied to editing on Wikipedia and other wiki farms like Miraheze.

A FANDOM user is editing literally 3 minutes after me every time, she is "fixing up" everything I do. Now I have WikiAnxiety...

The admin on that wiki is way too controlling, I got WikiAnxiety. I'm never going back to edit on that wiki!

A word like nigger and cracker but meant for all people.
Black people call other black people and some white people a nigger.
White people call other white people but no black people a cracker.
Wikka is for all people of any color and/or race that should not be taken offensively.
