It is nowhere related to the nickname used for Scarborough, located on the east-end of Toronto.

Once a white working class burb of modest 50s homes that produced a disproportionate amount of comedians such as Mike Myers, whose `Wayne's World' is set in a Chicago that is really supposed to be the Scarborough of his youth. Went seriously downhill from the 80s on and has many pockets of ghetto activity and Jamaican gangs.

A typical council house dweller, typically of pikey origin, usually with 4+ kids and a garden that looks like a council rubbish tip, and speaks 'wiv an at-i-tude', and usually has one or more offensive/dangerous dogs.

Those scumptons have let their dog crap on our front garden yet again !
