A lot of
people don't seem to understand the meaning of 'prep'. See, I went to a Country Day school for 6 years, and I know what a prep is. They are NOT slutty. In fact, they wear hardly any makeup at all, and it is very tastefully done because they go to the
MAC counter at Neimans so the makeup ladies can show them how it's done. They are bitchy to other cliques because they keep getting bitch-slapped by the
ghetto clique, the slutty clique, the emo/
goth/scene/punk whatever clique, and many more. They do not swear or yell or get in physical fights. They do not pay much attention to
people who do not dress in their uniform: Paige, Frankie B, Sevens, Polo, Lacoste, RL, Citizens of Humanity, Juicy, rock n republic, and basically anything that sells at Neiman
Marcus, Saks, or Nordstrom (Nordy's). They do not wear Abercrombie, which is the equivalent of the
Preppy 'Gap'. They take school extremely seriously and if they get in trouble or don't get a good grade their parent/s put in a complaint to the
Dean, who ahppens to be a golfing buddy. Preps often go on group vacations to places
like Cancun and Cabo, where they have summer homes. The truth is, everyone dissing preps for being conformist is waay more of a conformist themselves, because they obviously don't have enough going on not to spend all their time putting down a group with more money, more style, and more taste than them.
