Mango (Emoji)

Popularized by Instagram account Ebi_eats aka NurselifeRN.

Used most commonly as an emoji in reference to a female follower submitting a question related to a relationship (usually if a female should stay with a male) which will be reposted on said instagram user's story and common feedback to story by fellow followers would be "mango emoji." This euphemism has left many stumped and searching on various online dictionaries such as this for clarification. It basically means "Man-Go." As in, leave that man, drop him, break up, etc.
"I found my boyfriend of three years, texting other girls on a discrete and secret text messaging app. When I confronted him about this he says he never meets up with them, has no intention, and does it purely for entertainment. It makes me feel insecure and I love him but this is sketching me out. What should I do? "

"Answer - Mango (Emoji) as in leave him or Man-Go. "

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
