In reference to the original PTO definition (PAID TIME OFF) but with a double meaning. Usually referring to those employees who request time off at their job willingly knowing they're not showing up to work regardless if their request gets rejected or not. When PTO is entered at certain jobs, it has to be accepted or denied by either HR or a Manager. As a result of that, when employees are requesting time-off they will often times reference the term while submitting their request.
"Hey Justin, I'm clocking out and I'll be using PTO so I need you to Prepare The Others".
